Alec Cameron

Alec Cameron suffered a stroke and passed away on Friday August 24, 2018. 

"There have been too many fathers passing away recently and I'm devastated to include mine in that group. He had a stroke on Wednesday afternoon, developed a fatal brain hemorrhage and passed away this afternoon surrounded by all of his family. He will be missed by all of us." Maggie Cameron Leckey

Alec Cameron Paramus business owner and family man Alec Cameron, 77, of Paramus, N.J., passed away on Aug. 24, 2018 in the Valley Hospital. Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 30 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus N.J. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 at the R.C. Church of the Annunciation, 50 W. Midland Ave, Paramus 07652. He was the owner of Cameron Custom Carpentry, as well as a proud Paramus crossing guard. Alec was predeceased by parents, Dr. George and Grace Cameron, and brothers, Richard and James. He is survived by his brother, Dr. George L. Cameron, and sister, Ann Christie. He was the loving father of Alec C. Cameron, Jr. and his wife, Angela, and Maggie Leckey and her husband, Anthony, and dear grandfather of Scott, Doug and John Cameron, and Emily and McKenna Leckey. To honor Alec's construction career, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woman's Club of Paramus Renovation Fund, W-65 Ridgewood Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652, Attention Marie Gugger, Treasurer.
