Gerhard H. Kroeger Beloved husband, father, and best friend to his dog, Fluffy Gerhard (Gary) H. Kroeger, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, N.J. 07042. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena in Cedar Grove, N.J. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover N.J. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a civil engineer. He was an owner of a medical air compressor company. In 1975, Gerhard married his beloved wife, Maryann Melkowits, who survives him. They made their home in Montclair for 40 years, where they raised their three children, Kevin, Theresa, and Christina. He is also survived by his sister, Brigitte Schneider.
