Helen Inez Goode Pediatric social worker, of Montclair, 73 Helen Inez Goode, 73, of Montclair, N.J., passed away on Jan. 17, 2017. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. with funeral service on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m., all being held at Martin's Home for Service Inc, 48 Elm St., Montclair. Helen was born in Glen Ridge, N.J., to Robert Tyson Sr. and Corine Inez Tyson. She graduated from Montclair High School in 1961 and a few years later married Donald Goode Sr. (deceased July 22, 1994). They produced three children. Later in life, Helen obtained a master's degree in sociology and another in social work. She was employed as a pediatric social worker at Rutgers University Hospital in Newark, N.J., for the past 14 years. Helping people was her passion. Helen leaves cherished memories with: her children Donald Goode Jr., Deborah Shaw, and Sandra Goode; her siblings Robert Tyson Jr., Myrtle Bowers and Cheryl Brown; five grand-children and a multitude of relatives.
