How sad it is that people lose touch.  In high school Bill was one of my best friends.  In college, I visited him one weekend at MIT. And then somehow we lost touch. Where was MySpace  and Facebook when we needed it.

I remember Bill as a true friend. You got honest answers when you asked him questions. He would do anything for you. While a serious person he had a sense of whimsy and always a twinkle in his eye.  Bill lacked the short fuse that was commonly attributed to a redhead.

What a shame, you don't miss someone sometimes until you find them gone.

I miss you Bill and you will be missed at our reunion. I want you to know I look forward to our reunion when God calls me.

John about William:

Is that not the way it is with all of us, we do not miss some of our friends till they are gone.  We are all so busy with our lives we do not take the time to reach out. Your words are a thing of love and I for one do appreciate them, thanks for putting them down for us to see, and I know  Bill would smile at hearing them.  John

Does anyone know what happened to Bill?  I found his brother, David, on Facebook, but he hasn't answered back.
