Our classmate Karen Eisenstadt was born blind. She attended Montclair High School as a member of our class of '61 because her parents, living in Montclair, wanted to mainstream her as much as possible. She may have had a younger brother, Mark. For most of her adult life, Karen has been living in New York City, where she has worked with the American Council For the Blind. She is now retired. In February 2015, she recorded an oral history of her life, for the New York Public Library Community Oral History Project. The recording was done at the Andrew Haskell Braille and Talking Book Library.
